House Rules

  • Use of alcohol or drugs is prohibited.
  • Energy drinks or tablets, such as Monster, Redbull or related products are prohibited.
  • Possession or use of Hemp Oils, CBD, Kratom, Kava, and other mind-altering substances is prohibited. Socialization at Kava Bars is also prohibited.
  • Coffee is allowed, however high consumption for the purpose of abuse is prohibited.
  • No one is allowed on premises while intoxicated or under the influence of any chemicals.
  • Testing for alcohol or drug use may occur at any time, and minimally 2 times per week.
  • All medications, prescription and over the counter, must be made available for staff inspection, and may be stored by staff.
  • Curfew will be strictly enforced and must be respected.
  • Rent must be paid on-time, every time by its due date in order to avoid eviction.
  • Smoking is allowed only in designated, outdoor areas.
  • Use of e-cigarettes inside the residences is not allowed.
  • No refunds of payments of any kind will be made, regardless of who made the payment. Should a resident choose to leave against the advice of staff, the resident will remain liable for any unpaid balances.
  • Cleaning is the sole responsibility of the residents. All houses are expected to be in a clean, odorless and hygienic condition at all times.
  • Living areas must be clean at all times. The bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas are to be cleaned by the residents daily.
  • Residents are to refrain from lying on the furniture, and should only lay on assigned beds and sofas/couches.
  • Residents are expected to treat the housing and all of its contents, as well as the community it is in, with respect and take good care of them.
  • Residents will respect the personal property of other residents and staff. Residents will not borrow the property of others, including other residents, staff or neighbors, with or without permission.
  • No stealing, borrowing, or lending of money or property is permitted.
  • No profanity or verbal abuse of staff, other residents or neighbors is allowed.
  • Vulgar language, slurs and intentionally rude behavior are prohibited.
  • Racism and bigotry are prohibited.
  • Acts of violence or threats of violence are grounds for immediate eviction. Physical violence towards people or property, or threats of same, are strictly prohibited and will most likely result in the involvement of law enforcement.
  • Residents are responsible for their behavior and are expected to communicate, cooperate, and show respect to other residents, staff, and neighbors.
  • Loitering around the residences or their neighborhoods / communities is strictly prohibited at all times.
  • No music is allowed after curfew.
  • Loud noises or loud music are strictly prohibited at all times. Please be mindful of the other residents and the neighbors.
  • All residents are expected to be inside the residence and remain inside the residence after curfew until the next morning.
  • Consumption of food and drink shall be restricted to designated areas.
  • All overnight passes and visits must be approved by the staff. 
  • All visitors and visitations must be approved by staff and visitation may only occur during designated times and days.
  • Exclusive relationships, intimate relationships, or sexual relationships with other residents or staff, male or female, are prohibited.
  • Sexual relationships with resident peers are grounds for eviction as they are considered detrimental to the community and to the individual’s recovery process.
  • All mail is to be opened under staff supervision.
  • Being on time to all scheduled activities is required.
  • Appropriate dress is required. Shirts and shoes must be worn at all times. No bare feet, no tank tops or half shirts, no short skirts or shorts. Clients may be asked to change dress if deemed inappropriate.
  • Logos on clothing that are gang or drug-related are not permitted.
  • Undergarments must be worn at all times.
  • No medications of any kind are allowed unless approved and prescribed by your physician and entered the residence with staff approval.
  • No cameras, tape recorders, or other recording devises are permitted.
  • Material such as movies, series or books that are not conducive of recovery is not allowed, as determined by the staff.
  • Perfumes, body sprays and colognes that contain alcohol are prohibited from use and possession.
  • Possession of weapons or any sharp objects is strictly prohibited on all grounds.
  • Gambling of any kind is not permitted.
  • No straight edge razors are permitted.
  • No hand sanitizers with alcohol are permitted.
  • No stuffed animals are permitted.
  • No animals or pets are permitted in any properties.
  • No safety pins or knives are permitted.
  • No mouthwash with alcohol is permitted.
  • If a resident is suspected of using alcohol/drugs, they will be asked to undergo a breathalyzer, blood and/or urine test.  If the results are positive, they may be asked to leave the residence with an appropriate referral for proper treatment or care.
  • Knowledge and awareness of all rules is expected.
  • Failure to abide by the rules may result in restriction or revocation of certain privileges. More serious cases, repeated violations, or disregard for house rules will result in eviction.
